Agile Implementation Lead

Since 2023, I have worked with several mid-sized companies to help organize their IT portfolios and implement Agile to deliver the work in those portfolios.

I have over 14 years of experience in project management and Agile and over 18 years of experience in IT, in a variety of industries including education, finance, manufacturing, health care, and data analytics. Before joining the IT world, I worked as a high school English teacher and as a legal assistant in Africa and Europe on a case in the International Court of Arbitration in the Hague.

I earned my PMP in 2013, but when I was introduced to Agile, I immediately realized the value of its transparent, people-over-process approach. I have several Agile certifications and a Certificate in Project Management from UW Milwaukee.

My focus is helping Agile teams work independently so that leaders can focus on strategy—ensuring their teams are doing the most valuable work and letting the team decide HOW to do it. Agile methodology gets work delivered and is flexible enough to use for any project work.

Skills

Agile

I truly believe in the values of Agile and consistently work to promote transparency, communication, and the iterative process of inspection and adaptation of delivered work.

I have served many teams as a scrum master. My focus is now implementing Agile scrum to increase the value IT can deliver to organizations. Training and mentoring team members from help desk staff to C-levels to successfully transform the way that work flows through teams. Working with business leadership, users, and engineers to build teams and deliver working products.
